NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung attended the 180 th founding anniversary of Ha Tinh

The central province of Ha Tinh on Thursday celebrated its 180th founding anniversary (1831). NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung attended the anniversary and awarded Hồ Chí Minh Order to the locality.

He praised sacrifices by generations of people in Ha Tinh’s for national liberation and construction.

He urged the locality to get rid of poor status by 2015 by increasing the proportion of industry and service sectors in GDP to 82%.

Economic development should be combined with adequate investment for socio-cultural development, particularly poverty reduction, the legislative body chief stressed.

At the event, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman Nguyen Thanh Binh recalled that the golden pages of Ha Tinh’s 180-year history saw sacrifices of more than 28,000 local residents and some 44,000 wounded in the country’s two resistance wars. Furthermore, 535 mothers have been granted with hero title.
